This parti gyle beer was made from the second runnings of a barleywine that we sent to bourbon barrels. We let it sour with the lactobacillus from the grain it was brewed with and then dry hopped generously with Ahtanum, Talus & HBC-630.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a cloudy murky orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy hops, light tartness, and some oak. Flavour is very interesting, with tons of wood hops, lots of earthiness, bourbon barrels, and gentle tartness. This works surprisingly well. The hops, tartness and barrels somehow work cohesively. Very good.
