Crabby Pear is a 50/50 Bartlett Pear and Hyslop Crabapple split. The first time we made Crabby Pear in 2021 was on accident. But it was just so good, now we make it on purpose! Fragrant, mouthwatering and round. Made with our family’s certified organic fruit.

Bottle sampled at BC Cider Fest 2023, pours a hazy dull blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out bright earthy crabapples, pear skins, and apple core. Flavour is lightly funky, with lots of apple core, pear skins, and a hint of champagne-like effervescence. Nice funk and brightness to go along with the apple core. Pleasant.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Clear-ish gold with minimal white head. Feint fizzy carbonation with a touch of pear, but the crabapple takes over here. Decent.
