West Coast IPA w/ 100% Strata
Another hand selected hop lot that we are really excited about this year, is our Strata from the magicians at @colemanagriculture. So, here's a simple recipe of Pilsner Malt and Strata hops to showcase it best! We went lighter on the bitterness, doubled up the whirlpool hopping with a mix of whole leaf Strata and pellets, dry hopped at the start of fermentation, and then again at the end of fermentation. Flavor profile? Think strawberry jam, Maui Wowee, and Orange Blossoms.

On tap at Green Cheek - Costa Mesa, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a strange herbal hop character, with light melon, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and piney in the hop department, with a touch of herbal hop character, melon, and crisp biscuity malt. Bright and clean but not my favourite hop. Still, very good.
