Typically red or brown in color, this version is “golden,” made from Pilsner malt, unmalted wheat and oats, and fermented with mixed culture blends from Pure Project as well as collaborating Watsonville, California startup Fruition Brewing. Aging in oak barrels with three types of raspberries (red, gold and double gold) gives it a lovely magenta color.

On tap at Pure Project - Miramar, pours a cloudy dark ros� with a small white head. Aroma brings out tart raspberries, oak, and wild bugs. Flavour is tart and acidic, with lots of sour raspberries, lots of acidity, and oak. Smells way better than it tastes. That raspberry character is great but the acidity is prohibitive. Good.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy rose gold with small off white head. The aroma is raspberry and oak. Thin body, raspberry, oak, acidic, very good.
