Bourbon barrel aged märzen. An amber lager aged in an Odd Society whiskey barrel. Distinct notes of charred whiskey, vanilla and toasted marshmallow blend harmoniously with the toffee and caramel grain character. The finish is clean, crisp and refreshing.

On tap at Luppolo, pours a hazy dark amber with a huge white head. Nose is big on the charred toasted oak, followed by gentle vanilla, bready malt, and a touch of earthiness. Flavour is much the same, with more of char, woody oak, vanilla, and dry bready malt. The marzen character is rather hidden beneath the barrels. Huge oak and char on the finish. Fun experiment.
