Base malt: Pale 2-Row and Maris Otter blend with a blend of chocolate malts, flaked barley and oats, and two crystal malts. We started with roughly 30 barrels in our kettle, which was boiled down overnight to 19 barrels. The beer was conditioned on vanilla beans post-fermentation.

12 oz can poured, picked up at Special Brews. An intriguing collab here, as I don't exactly think BA imperial stout when I think of either brewery, and I can't say enough good things about Woodinville Whiskey as the third collaborator, in a way. Dense, jet black pour with a dark espresso brown head. Maybe the darkest foam I've ever seen on a brew. Barrel forward nose, lots of whiskey. Sweet dark fruits and molasses. Intense flavor with obvious potency. Thick body that leans heavily on chocolate. Rich caramel, lingering oak with whiskey notes with a constant chocolate reminder. Very layered brew. Fun and unique. Very enjoyable.

12 oz. can, pours black with a tiny brown head. Aroma is loaded with intense port barrels, dark dried fruits, molasses, and a touch of whiskey. Flavour is extremely rich and decadent, with intense port barrels, dark dried fruits, dark sugars, and molasses. Really intense but elegant port barrel expression. Excellent slow-sipping assertive beer.
