Any customer can have an IPA in any color that they want; so long as it's black. We went old school with this one, infusing debittered black malt into a hop driven, citrusy IPA.

Black body with off white head. Malt and hop aroma. Well balanced taste hop and malt with a thick hop skin. Yummy. Good rendering of a now rare style.

16 oz. can, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium beige head. Aroma has a nice dry, earthy, toasted malt base, with soft piney hops complementing. Flavour is remarkably well-balanced, with lots of resinous hops, moderate roasted malt, and a touch of caramel that imparts a touch of sweetness. What an expertly constructed and well-balanced black IPA this is. Excellent.
