English-Style Oat Mild Ale
Brewed in Collaboration with Bottleworks

Bat Dance is an English-style oat mild ale that we brewed in collaboration with our good buds at Bottleworks. Bat Dance was brewed using the parti-gyle method of brewing multiple beers from the same mash. The stronger first runnings were used to brew our first barleywine that will mature in bourbon barrels. The weaker second runnings were used to brew Bat Dance. This mild was brewed with English pale and caramel malts, caramelized oat malt and a touch of chocolate malt. Bat Dance was hopped exclusively with East Kent Goldings and open-fermented with our house pub yeast.

16 oz. can, pours a hazy amber copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthiness, bready malt, and a touch of toasted nuts. Flavour has some English bready malt, toasted nuts, and some earthiness. Really impressively constructed, with a good English malt expression. Very good.
