The Knitting Circle - Season 4, Batch D

Batch d is a blend of a Riesling pomace barrel (40%), an oak-aged ale with 2022’s Syrah pomace (40%) and crushed 2022 Mourvèdre grapes (20%) for the final piece of the puzzle contributing notes of red berries. Batch D presents a soft tannic structure from the pomace balanced by notes of watermelon, raspberries, and pear. To optimize appearances, we recommend chilling for 48 hours prior to drinking and letting the sediment settle.

Oooo soft grapes galore. Top tier grape notes, soft funk, tons of natural grape imagery, incredible grape nose and flavors.

On tap at Fair Isle, pours a cloudy bright orange amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out lots of grape pomace, rustic saison yeast, and wild bugs. Flavour is tart and complex, with wild bugs, some tart grape skins, and oak. Wonderfully blended, oaky, vinous and buggy. Excellent.
