Fresh hopped lager

Our Stolen Bike Lager provides a crisp and clean base to showcase freshly harvested whole cone sterling hops. Grown in BC, these hops go into our beer straight off the bine to preserve aromatics.

On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is herbal, with grassiness and straw. Flavour is fairly bitter, with grassy hops, plenty of bitterness, and straw. Not the most vibrant but seems more or less indistinguishable from regular Stolen Bike, which isn't an exciting beer even for the style. It's alright—clean at least.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 09/20/22). Clear hazed yellow gold with small white head. Corn malt with a touch of fresh oily leafy hops on the nose. Taste is very much the same. Just a disappointing variant of the already disappointing Stolen Bike lager. The fresh hops barely show through and can in now way save the lacklustre base beer. A waste of fresh hops.
