A traditional malty amber German lager with a distinct smokiness. A blund of maly, wood, vanilla, and smokiness in flavour and aroma. We used imported weyermann beechwood-smoked malt to provide this smoky flavour and aroma, then combined with other malts to create a complex yet smooth taste. Subtle hop character with restrained bitterness, high attenuation to provide a crisp dry finish. Then conditioned on maple syrup to give a unique sweetness.

Poured from the tap. Clear amber gold with small white head. Gentle smoke permeates, very feint maple, pretty good.

473mL can, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals gentle smoke and toasted bready malt. Flavour is surprisingly decent, with smoked malt, bready malt, and a hint of maple. Nice smoked character, just a hint of maple, and a dry malty finish. Surprisingly good.

473mL can. Pours clear amber with foamy white head. Aroma is smoky with toasted caramel malts and golden raisins. Flavour is also very smoky with a bit of maple and lightly toasted malts. Too syrupy in the end; the maple flavour was good, but there was nothing to balance it out.
