Tasting at Matt's, bottle
Hazy bright blond colour, white head. The aroma is a bit spicy. Good body; weird combination of spicy yeast, residual sweetness, and weird barrels, that come across more like rum than bourbon. It's ok.

750ml shared with Phill and the gang @ Matt's new place. Appearance: a bit hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: apples, some wood, crispy, some acidity. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: it's not good, unfortunately

Pours clear gold with white foamy head. Aroma is muted bourbon, candied malts, some orange, and herbs. Flavour has some very muted barnyard flavours; sweet backbone with bourbon flavours. Weirdly harsh. Bourbon flavours don't really mesh well with the saison. Not great.

750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out cheap bourbon barrels and some rustic saison yeast. Flavour has rounded bourbon barrels, toasted caramel, and toasted bready malt. This is a total mess. Even for a bourbon BA saison -- which is a shitty idea -- this doesn't work well.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazy dull gold with small white head. Bourbon, hint of wood glue, mild saison yeast, muddled. Meh.
