Cask, 4.4%. No aroma. Almost clear dark amber colour. The flavour starts off smoky, turns woody. The smoke tastes a bit off, but it goes away again after a few sips. Medium bitterness, OK rough.

Cask (@The Alexander, Kendal): Light amber coloured, unclear, creamy off-white head with a little lacework; bready and fruity nose with juicy hops backstage; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; a light fruitiness "ornates" the light to moderate hoppy and bready finish. Quite O.K. .....

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 21/10/09. Chestnut coloured with a decent, off-white head. Sweet, toffee and red fruit aroma with a hint of earthiness. Flavour had the same sweetness, with some doughy malts, fruit and slightly bitter finish. Ok.
