Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Black colour; small tan head that disappears quickly. Aroma of cacao, dark chocolate, dirt. Good body, there is limited residual sweetness; burnt sugar and roasted malt flavour, cacao, and quite strong alcohol. An Imperial Stout. Modest.

16oz @ Ryan's shared with Alex (thx for the beer, man!) hoping that allergy effects won't affect my taste, hehe. Appearance: dark brown with a weak dark beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, earthy, some sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, medium-bodied, some chocolate and roasted malt. A bit earthy in the finish. Overall: ok.

Poured from 473mL can. Near. lack with small beige head. Licorice, roast malt, wasn't a big fan of the original salted black porter so this is just okay.

Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma dark chocolate, coffee, and liquorice-adjacent. Flavour a lot of dark chocolate. Other porter flavours, but a bit unclear. A bit too sweet. Mouthfeel is quite thick, a bit sticky.

473mL can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with intense black liquorice and fennel, followed by medium toasted malt. Flavour is somewhat muddled, with black liquorice, earthiness, fennel, and toasted malt. Kinda jumbled in that the flavours aren't well-integrated and there's too much fennel character. Okay.
