Clear bright dark brown color with a small brown head; aroma of cereal, molasses; balanced flavor with a long, medium bitter finish with a longer ashy mineral afterfinish, not as bland as some reviews made me think

Poured from the tap. Dark brown with minimal off white head. Mild toasted chocolate malt notes, feint nuttiness, a bit bland, average.

On tap at Steamworks - Gastown, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out soft bready malt, a hint of dry cocoa, and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavour has very faint cocoa powder and soft bready malt. Pretty weak, even for a brown. But it's inoffensive.
