Saison Aged in Fernet Lario Casks
Lario is our saison aged for five months in Fernet Lario casks from Highside Distilling on Bainbridge Island. Highside Distilling uses Washington-grown apples and a blend of ten different botanicals to distill this local Fernet. Lario has a huge aroma and notes of mint, anise, pine, smoke and bitter orange peel.

On tap at Fair Isle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is bitter AF, with nothing but an army of floral bitterness. Flavour is overtaken by the fernet barrels — dear Lord. Very bitter; the saison character is too buried for this to work.
