This Old Stock Ale is a collaboration with the Change is Brewing Collective, in support of the Black Loyalist Heritage Society from Birchtown, Nova Scotia. A modern take on this historic style, Back to Birchtown is a winter warmer that would have been casked in the days of the Black Loyalists. It is smooth and drinkable now, but has been brewed to improve over time and will mellow and round out over the years, just like the best of us.

473mL can. Pours dark brown with light beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, light sweetness. Flavour has some toasty English malts and some earthy spiciness, gentle bitterness. Solid strong english ale.

473mL can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of English malt, toasted bread, and a touch of caramel. Flavour is very malty in the English category, with lots of dry toasted caramel, dry toffee, and bready malt. Real nice English malty ale, and quite a bit of depth for a lower ABV English ale.
