Draught at Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2015
Dark brown color, almost black, with small beige head. The aroma has some fruity esters, typical of American Quads, but also some timid caramel, not bad. Smooth, good body strength, maybe a bit too much alcohol evidence, with dark caramel flavor and low bitterness.
Not bad, but not much depth.

35,5 cl can @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg Aroma has hayish malt, nuts and some toasted caramel. Also raisins. Feels like a well roasted dunkel. Flavour has lots of sweet malty tones, raisins and coffee. A supersweet quad - but at least this one has something to do with the belgian ones. Just with a sweet, sweet american twist.

On tap at VCBW Fest, pours a dark mahogany with a small tan head. Nose brings lots of dark dried fruits and burnt caramel. Flavour brings out dry burnt caramel and dark dried fruits - really well balanced, without too much residual sweetness. The burnt caramel tempers the sweetness very well. Very good.

Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a dark brown with beige head that lasts. The aroma is cherry skin and spice. Medium mouthfeel with light caramel and dark fruits. Decent.
