Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear red with no head. Smells like cordial. Taste is sweet, blackberry. Some apple coming through. Too sweet for me.

Bottle at home picked up from Waitrose. A clear plum cherry red coloured pour with a fading pink head. Aroma is tart plum, apple, red grape, little sour, mixed red berries. Palate is tart, semi sweet, crisp carbonation, mild pucker. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, schloer, red berries, grape, apple. Very clean tart, medium sweet. not bad at all.

Bottle. Blackberry coloured cider, with plenty of fizz and sweetness, a touch berry character and gentle finish. Easy summer drinking, but not particularly memorable.

500ml bottle. Clear deep reddy purple colour, instantly disappearing white head. Aroma and taste has slightly overripe apples, blackberries, quite sweet but the berries add a nice acidic tartness. Light body with average carbonation, oily texture. Nice refreshing summer cider.

From 500 ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Dark orange amber color with small off white head. Aroma is fruity, red apple, dark-red fruits. Sweet and light acidic taste like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

500ml bottle from B&M, Shrewsbury. Pours a deep purple, sparkling. Aroma of vague dark berries, sugary sweet cider. Perhaps not as sweet as other Aspalls in the taste, although still quite commercial-tasting, with some pleasant blackberry fruit notes. Has a fair fizz to it, but generally quite drinkable and gentle, with light tannins and lacking an expected artificial element.

500ml bottle from B&M Stockton. Red colour, short-lived fizzy pink foam head and aroma of blackberry & apple with a hint of sulphur. Taste is juicy berry, blackberry, and apple, fruity, with some tartness. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry light tart & tannic finish. Quite OK.
