Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 17.01.17. Colour of rosé wine. Almost no head. Moderate aroma of apples and berries. Similar taste. Refreshing, but a bit bland.

Bottle from B&M, Sowerby Bridge. Pinkish-red coloured cider. Has a dry tasting texture, although the blackberry does give the cider a sweetness to its taste, without the fruit being overpowering. It does feel somewhat artificial though.

Bottle at the Bedford Arms, Bedford. Pink, clear, like a glass of rosé. Muted forest fruit aroma. I enjoy the taste, which is fruity without losing that tang that defines a good cider. Long tangy sweet finish. Its a fairly innocuous drink but none the worse for it.

Bottle in the hotel room, Coombe Abbey, 12/03/16. Reddish amber with a moderate off crimson head. Nose is straw, blackcurrants, apple skins, grain. Taste comprises apple and blackberry crumble, straw, earthy, sweet berry compote. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a sweet ring. So so ... too sweet for me but maybe ok in small doses for a summer BBQ.

330 ml bottle from Meinl am Graben, Vienna.
Deep red, clear body, with almost no head.
Aroma is sweet-sour, slightly tart, witth berries, apples, flowers, slight barnyard.
Taste follows this pretty much, nicely balanced sweet-sour berry taste.
Light, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes fruity, sweet, less sour.
I’m no Cider drinker, but really enjoyed this. Very fruity, refreshing and well balanced. The berries are quite dominant, what I really like.
