330ml bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours black with not much head to speak of. Aromas are earthy, sweet toffee. Taste has some chocolate and nuts, more earthiness. Thin finish.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Discworld Ales Black Hogswatch ].Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, sweet malt, light mint - minerals. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, thin, minerals. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150411]

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Ales by Mail. Pours brown, clear, with a foamy beige head. The nose has some toasted grains, dried berries, earth. Light sweet flavor with more toasty, bready malts, some ash, tobacco, burnt leaves, leathery berries. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with burnt toast, more earth, leaves, faint cocoa, tobacco, leathery fruits, grain husk. So so.

Bottle @ Post-Easter Procrastination, Ulfborg. Pours hazy dark coffee brown with barely any head at all. Clear aroma of caramel malt, with fruity and hoppy notes. Faint flavour of malt, with weak roasty notes and touches of hops. Hints of fruit. No carbonation. Bitterish aftertaste. What is it, actually?

Sehr dunkel braune Farbe, fingerbreite beige Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, hopfig, erdig. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, gering nussig, hopfig, leicht floral.
