About time we opened this, and probably a bit too late. Not sure how it was fresh, but age did have an effect here I think. Boozy, plenty bourbon, light rum. Taste has a good dose of cinnamon but is not too much for me. Flavours seem a bit muddled.

Lci, how the coffee in this held up over 3 years at mostly room temp while new coffee stouts can't last 1-6 months these days blows my mind, tasting fregging great, great body, espresso and cinnamon done so so well.

500 ml bottle at share.Dark brown pour, a sparse head. Aroma is savory, cinnamon, coffee cake. Taste is more of the rich savory spice, deep, velvety. Sugary, hint of coffee and barrel.

Bottle shared thanks to Mads and Frida. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aromas of cinnamon, sweet rum, light coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate. Taste has lots of sweet rum, dark fruits, cinnamon, milk chocolate, vanilla, light coffee. God damn sweet but really nice.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroa is strong cassia, cocoa, roast, rum. Slick body, cocoa, vanilla, green pepper, roast, boozy finish.

500 ml 2017 vintage bottle, shared by Sander, many thanks! Black, oily body, with almost no head. Aroma of cinnamon, dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, molasses, moderate soy sauce, some rum barrel. Tastes delicious, with similar aromas and a great creaminess, slight alcohol. Full, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes warm, medium roasty, medium sweet, with cocoa, creamy dark chocolate, cinnamon, tobacco, coffee, some liquorice, some soy sauce. Very tasty! Creamy and intense, with a great balance between sweet and roasty notes. The rum barrel is quite subtle, only providing some booze. Lovely, dense sipper. Score: 8 / 4 / 9 / 4 / 17

Vintage 2017. black color, very dark small coffee colored head. smells coffee, cinnamon, earthy, chilis, spices, bit milky. very nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of cinnamon, spices, earthy, peppery, vanilla, some bourbon, light cola, some wood. finishes lightly sweet with notes of cinnamon, spices and some vanilla notes. very nice one, not a total fan of the different flavours, I think the bark and vanilla is a bit distracting, overall still very good though.

Nuchtere Noorden Tasting II, stroperig zwart met zeer beperkte licht bruine kraag. aroma is zoet, veel Bourbon, chocolade, cacao, rum. Smaken zijn enorm vol, dik, romig, glad, volle chocolade, espresso, rum, vrij hoge co2, vanille, zoet, volle body, crème brûlée. erg lekker... MEER...
