Tap @ CBC 2015. Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Aromas of brett, tart grapey notes, chocolate, vinous notes. Taste is tart, dark fruits, brett, tobacco, licorice, chocolate.

Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, brettanomyces, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, and brettanomyces, leading to a tart finish.

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015. Opaque black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, red berries, vinegar and oak. Taste is dry, light bitter and light sour with notes of coffee and oak. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. OK.

On tap at B's Craft Beer Lounge, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is quite vinous, with lots of red wine, wood and funky notes, with a touch of roast underneath. Flavour is quite complex, with lots of wood upfront, followed by lots of red wine and considerable funk. Slight roast underneath with a fairly prominent astringency. Good stuff.

On tap. Pours black with full head. Aromas of dark chocolate and oily dark fruit. Flavors of deep dark chocolate, fruity vinous barrel, and somewhat acidic fruit skins. Ashy finish. Interesting. A well made base but a bit off balance.

CBC. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, wood and a little liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, dusty, sour, medium sweet, hop and a little bitter.

Draft - Dark soured malts vinous notes. Jet maroon with a decent brown head. Red wine notes, soured malts and a nice dry finish.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session I, 01/05/2015. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is tangy dark fruits, wood must, toffee, light cocoa rub. Taste comprises wooded notes, red grape, tarte red berry overlay, light chocolate, spice, toffee, dark fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a tarte rinse. Decent soured stout.
