Grandma’s Boy is a Wild Ale blend made in the Bellwoods Solera style.
Repeatedly, foeder aged beer is blended with a small percentage of fresh beer to create a spritzy beer with layers of firm acidity, refined brett character, stone fruit flavour, and soft minerality. This variant is conditioned on fresh yellow plums from Niagara. Bottle conditioned.

Hazy yellow, large white head. Lots of stone fruit, plum, lactic notes and big Brett notes. Very very tart and straight up sour. Dry, crisp, and refreshing.

This has a deep tartness. Lots of plum, good balance though. Medium body. Good style.

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2023, pours an opaque bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of juicy plum, with subtle wild yeast in back. Flavour is full of acidic, juicy plums, light rustic notes, and light oak. Too acidic but nice juicy plums. Not a whole lot of complexity but tasty enough.

A taster shared with Josh, Matt, Phill, and Ryan during FHF with priceless Rachel's (yup, again!) help in organizing all the mess with glasses. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: nice stone fruits, very juicy, oak. Taste: same, a bit acidic, though. Overall: ok.
