We got together with our friends at Barrel Mountain Brewing in Battle Ground, WA for this modern take on a PNW IPA. With a hop bill featuring the modern classic Simcoe alongside newcomers Talus and the experimental YQH-1320, these lupulin lovelies boast big pine and grapefruit citrus for an old-school meets new-school IPA experience.

16 oz. can, pours a clear copper golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, grapefruit, citrus, and a bit of spruce. Flavour is bright, citrusy and juicy, with big piney hop notes, some spruce, grapefruit, and a moderate caramel malt backbone. Juicy, bright and grapefruity on the finish. Solid balance, a little more old school WCIPA with that malt backbone. Good stuff.

Can. Pours a clear orange with a copper hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has pine and grass with a bit of dank citrus and a hint of resin underlying. Flavor has pine and dank citrus with a bitter grass and a light sweet grain backbone.
