On tap at Baird - Harajuku, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out gentle vanilla, toasted caramel and dry bready malt. Flavour is nicely malty, with caramel, bready malt and some booze. Fairly cohesive and reasonably complex. Good stuff.

Tap at Kansai Base. Basically black--a bit of a brown tint. Tall, off-white head. Fruity, roasty nose, chocolate, caramel, a bit of soy sauce. Sweet chocolate and caramel flavor, creamy cafe au lait, roasted charcoal, bitter hops. A fun beer, with big sweetness and also big bitterness coming both from roasted malt and also from hops. silky smooth body, and a nice citrus fruitiness too. Long, bitter finish. Like this.
