On tap at Naboen Pub, pours a hazy amber golden with a medium beige head. Nose brings out candied fruits, Belgian yeast and stone fruits. Flavour is smooth, with toffee, bready malt, and some candied sugar. Dry finish with very little residual sweetness, which is a plus. Not the most complex, but well-balanced and drinkable. Solid.

750 ml bottle. Unclear dark golden body with a medium sized, lacing off-white head. Aroma has malt, bread and a hint of caramel fudge. Flavor is sweet malt, dry fruit, caramel and low bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste with caramel and dry fruit. Drinkable but very boring, not very close to an Abbey dubbel. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pryl Glutenfri on 14 Oct 2019 at 15:51 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Bottle. Unclear dark golden body with a medium sized, dense tan head. Weak in aroma, mostly malt. Flavor has a medium sweet malty base with fruity hops and decent bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Not very interesting, but sure drinkable.

Bananig hefiger, leicht brotiger Antrunk. Ok. 9/9/9/8/6/8

Bottle. An unclear, dark amber to brown beer with a big, dense, light beige head. The aroma is filled with dried fruits, some citrus and yeast, and a hint of coffee. It’s quite dry on the palate, rather thin for a dubbel, but with a soft carbonation. It’s quite yeasty in the flavor, with some sulphur, but dried fruits dominates. Lasting finish with dried fruits, yeast and some caramel. Brown sugar too. Seems to me that this beer is rushed to the market, but it’s still a decent beer. 150131

Fortjener mange fler.
