330ml bottle. Really black with huge, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of red berry, plum, a dusty, yeasty spicy touch, cautious hints of dark chocolate. Funked up Porter taste, roasty, dark malty basis, dark chocolate notes, a touch of coffe, on it a fruity layer with notes of plum and red berries, then again overlain by a dusty yeasty touch of hay and citrusy fruity hoppy overtones in mandarine and orange direction. Still a surprisingly nice, genuine composition despite Bartlebier’s relevant "premonition".

Bottled (Ales By Mail). Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is quite strong on the hoppy side along with some ashes, liquorice and mild berryish notes. Flavour is mild roasted malts, some ashes, chocolate, ripe dark fruits, quite herbal and also floral and grassy hops. A bit thin as for the palate, otherwise a nice brew. Not really sure where the Saison in this one is...
