Ah, buckle this! Ludicrous speed, go! That’s right, we’ve gone to plaid with our Rye Schwarzbier. This double-decocted dark German lager was not easy to brew, but the outcome is a complex beer with a balance of dark German malts and a large rye addition that comes together for a clean lager finish. ⁠⁠

Black pour. Too late to crack another but I’m irresponsible. Nose is smoke and chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, roootbeer, smoke, some earth. Very light bodied.

12 oz can from AE, 10/3/21. Canned 9/27/21. Rating #9600! Pours a dark brown color, lighter brown-beige head. Roasted malt, rye bread, earth. Light smoke. Nicely clean and a little dry. Well balanced. Full of flavor considering the low ABV. Well played.
