Bottle. It pours a clear, brown body and small, dense, light beige head. Rather weak aroma with caramel and some faint notes of dried fruits. It’s medium bodied and soft, perhaps a bit low on carbonation. Roasted malts, caramel and dried fruits in the flavor. Rather boring, even for a 4.5% beer. Short finish. A decent one, but way too boring. Easy drinkable though. 141220

Fra flaske 330ml. Ekstremt dyp brun. Middels høyt mokkafarget luftig skum. Veldig beskjeden aroma av kaffe. Smaken vassen. Hint av kaffe - men flaut helhetsinntrykk.

Syrlig duft av kirsebær og litt kaffe. Mørk brun farge, nesten sort. Tynt lag skum, heng langs kant. Vassen smak med en anelse kirsebær i smaken.

Dark brown color with a fine off white head. Some lacing. Ok aroma. Caramel malty and bready. Nice body for a 4.5% ale. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. A bit oily texture. Quite ok flavor. Bready, nutty, mild fruity and malty. At last a nice grocery store ale from Mack.

A few bottles bought at a EuroSpar store in Bodø and shared at a rating session. A stable fawn-coloured head to clear mahoany coloured body. Dotted spots to the glassware. Roasted brown malty nose. Roasted flavours as well joined by prunes and ash. Maybe a little jam-like. Roasted bitterness to the finish. Fine bodied. Soft and nice (Bodø 03.10.2014).

33cl bottle from Meny Ringnes park, Oslo. Pours dark brown to mahogany with an off-white to beige head. Malty aroma with notes of dried dark fruits, licorice, caramel and some bready notes. Medium sweet with raisins and prunes and a light bitterness in the finish. A bit thin and watery, but drinkable enough. --- Beer merged from original tick of Porter 4.5% on 03 Oct 2014 at 18:47 - Score: 6
