Draft @ SDBW 2016 Guild Festival. Pours a red amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty piney hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty piney hoppy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty piney hoppy caramel finish.

Draft. Clear amber color. Burnt caramel aroma. Very bitter resiny taste, almost an IPA.

650ml bottle. Barely clear, brown-ish, deep red colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, off-white head. Minimally papery, woody, piney hoppy aroma, spruce, some candied orange zest, a touch of red and dark berries, caramel malty background. Taste is minimally papery, piney hoppy, minimally tart-ish grassy hoppy, an earthy touch of dark berries, hints of red berries, some candied orange zest, caramel malty basis.

Draught @ Ciro?s, San Diego, CA Pours reddish brown with a small head. Aroma of malts, caramel, nutty notes and hints of berries. Taste is smooth, sweetish and malty with some berries, nuts and caramely syrup. Finish is stuffy, sweetish and malty with some nutty notes. Decent.

Draught @ Cico’s, San Diego. Aroma has sweet berry juice and some vanilla. Also sweet malty tones. Flavour has resiny malt, sweet fruit juice and mild grapefruit kick in the finish. Smooth palate, low on CO2. Decent, could have less berries.

Bottle 22fl.oz. @ [ First Official Randers Tasting ] by HenrikSoegaard, at HenrikSoegaard house, Randers, Denmark. [ As New English Dragoon American Red ].Clear medium to dark amber color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, nutty, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, citrus, orange - citrus, warm hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hoppy, orange, caramel, dry, hops bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Nice Red IPA ! very drinkable. Bottle from Ales by Mail. Reddish brown pour with a beige head. Lots of red fruit in the nose with a splash of grapefruit and lemon in there too. Orange pith and apricot flavours. Light malt finish.

Klare rötlichbraune Farbe, schöne beige Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig hopfig, harzig ,würzig, reife Früchte. Geschmack sehr malzig, reife Früchte, sehr hopfig, aber dezent bitter, harzig, gut!

Bottle @ First Official Randers Tasting. Pours slightly hazy ruby amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and caramel malt, with subtle fruity notes. Bitetr, hoppy flavour, quite intense, with pronounced notes of malt and some fruity touches. Bitter aftertaste. Well-balanced and quite decent, especially for the style.
