Bottle. A reddish dark brown beer with a dense finger thick beige head. Roasted aroma with chocolate, coffee and piney, resiny hops. Some grapefruit. It’s full bodied and smooth on the palate, semi dry and with a nice carbonation level. Nice bitterness, both initially and in the finish. Chocolate, coffee and some toffee, with pine cones and grapefruit notes. Lasting finish. A pleasant one indeed. A bit roasted but sure nice. 160709

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small light tan head. Aroma of coffee, citrus, light ash, lemon peel and pineapple. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of coffee, ash, citrus and fresh hops. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Maybe to roasted for the style but still nice.
