Keg at the taproom, Corvalis, 10/11/14. Clear amber with a decent beige covering. Nose is earthy hop, mineral rinse, pine, bitter orange, caramel. Taste comprises red grapefruit, light spice, caramel malt, earthy minerals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid stuff but this is a cross between a hoppy red or an American Strong. Come to England and find me an English Strong that packs this much hop presence, if you find one I’ll buy you a pickled egg!!!

Draught at Nano Fest. Poured red amber with medium head. Aroma is an abomination, it smelled exactly like cat urine. Flavour was much better. Caramel with considerable fruitiness. A lekker bier withal. Better if they could change the aroma.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a clear reddish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes steadily. Sheet of lacing on the glass. Aroma of earthy malt and fruit. Full body with flavors of dark fruit, hops and earthy malt. The finish is fruity with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

KLCC Microbrewfest ’09: Nice amber pour with a fruity, malty, and toffee aroma. Flavor is a little more earthy than expected; still some fruity, toffee, and citrus elements in the background. Even a touch bready. Finishes with some citrus hops.
