On draft at Culture Solana Beach. Poured a near pitch-black color with a small brown head. Aroma was immediately vanilla, oak, some chocolate. Flavor was roasted malts, vanilla, coffee. Pretty tasty.

Keg at the taproom, 14/11/14 @10.6% ABV. Black with a big old light tan covering that retains well. Nose is roast malt, woody oak effect, vanilla, light charr, chocolate. Taste comprises mellow dark fruits, vanilla essence, woody, chocolate hobnob biscuits, molasses. Medium + body, soft carbonation. Decent enough impy, drinks below its ABV and doesn’t get too sweet, roasty bitterness is well tempered agains the sweeter ingredients.
