Craig on Heat Tasting at ChrisO’s. Very hazy deep red - amber - brown beer. Small pale tan head. Light airy palate, fine carbonation. Tangy, bordering sour, dark malts. Touches of dark chocolate and coffee. Little dark fruits. Whisper of dry lactose. Tangy linger.

Appearance- very dark, black almost, ruby/light brown tinge at the base. Aromas- roasty malt, coffee hints, milk choc, cocoa powder. Taste- very roasty, definite hop profile in the background, coffee bitterness coming through, lingering finish which has a bitter, dark choc quality. A little thin in the mouthfeel. Not bad at all.

Bottle bought at Googies, Folkestone and drank at home. Black beer with lasting dark beige head and looks pretty well carbonated from the bottle conditioning. Chocolate on the aroma. More chocolate in the mouth. A relatively dry stout. A little bit of blackcurrant flavour on the finish. Tasty and rather a nice beer. I look forward to drinking more beers from this brewery.
