100ml draught at Eebria Taproom. Black in the glass, steady fawn-coloured head, clingy lacing. Roasted malty aromas with a cocoa touch, inviting. Rich taste of choco-coffee, nicely roasted. Prolonged ending. Medium bodied. Good drinking. (Bermondsey, London 29.09.2018).

Can shared in a Bristol hotel room. Pours clear red-brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has some day-old coffee, mellow roast. Light-medium sweet flavour with some earthy hops, cocoa, more coffee. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with bitter cocoa, mild roast, ash, earth. Pretty solid overall.

Can at lks. It pours hazy dark brown - black with a decent light tan head. The aroma is earth, toasty, cocoa, juicy, chocolate cake, coffee grounds and light peppery spice. The taste is dry, mellow bitterness, coffee grounds, cocoa, light charred, ashy and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fine enough.
