Keg at Figueroa Mountain brewpub, Santa Barbara, 01/05/14. Dark mahogany brown with a moderate tan swirl that retains. Nose is on the thin side, light roast, toffee, fruit loaf, brown bread, light spice. Taste comprises caramel, hint of liqourice, roast malt, light cocoa powder. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so porter - just doesn’t justify its 6.8% in terms of the aroma and flavour it provides.
