Tap (nitro) at Triumph, PHL, 30/11/13. Mid black with a good sized tan head that retains well, full glass lacing ensues. Nose is dark malts, light roast, subtle pumpkin notes, spice, liqourice, treacle toffee. Taste comprises earthy cocoa, molasses, pumpkin pie, toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate - a la nitro, drying finale with a little sweetness. Ok stuff, when adding this beer I felt there was a good dose more porter qualities over the pumpkin (spice herb veg) and being 7.6% went down the imperial line.
