Cask-conditioned at the South Wales Beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol 5/11/2012. Near black with a thin, off-white head. Sweet, liquorice, berry fruits and chocolate aroma. Fairly light bodied, with more fruit and chocolate and a dryish finish. Ok.

Cask at CASK with Sarah. Pours clear dark brown with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts and dark grain with a hint of dryness. Flavor has strong roasted malts with some dark grains and a dry finish.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico - 19/10/12. Very dark mahogony brown approaching black in colour with a thin tan head that soon clears to the edge. Roast malt nose and strange plastic/chemical tones. Taste follows the nose, roast malt and this strange mix of plastic, herbs and light medicinal qualities. Medium bodied with little carbonation leading to a slightly astringent finish. Left half of my half pint - sums it up pretty much!
