500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Opalescent, yellow-ish, golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Floral hoppy and slightly biscuity, pale malty aroma, hints of petals. Taste is floral and slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, slightly biscuity, pale malty basis with low residual sweetness, hints of petals, a touch of lemon. Oily texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Simple, focussed, drinkable - nice.

Bottle. Clear golden, smaller white head, not that lasting. Medium biscuity nose, some bready notes, lots of grains. Medium bitterness, mostly grassy. Lasting aftertaste. Light body. Very drinkable.

Cask at the Oil Basin, Worcester on 1st April 2023. Gold with shallow off-white foam and full lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Sweet berry fruits and maltiness in-mouth, and a fruity finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a light body.

Bottle from the brewer. Pours clear gold, thin head, some retention. Aroma of citrus, grass, ginger beer. Taste is lemon citrus, light bread malts, moderate and dry bitterness in the finish. Not picking up any spice notes in the finish sadly. Light body and moderate carbonation. Overall another decent refreshing gold from Bewdley.

ORIGINALLY : Cask at Lych Gate, Wolverhampton Pours a pale lemon yellow with a dense white head. Aroma is mainly butterscotch. In the mouth the texture is smooth. Taste is grains, malt and golden syrup. Finish is slightly bitter. Bland all round. RERATE : I can't disagree with the previous review - except the last sentence ! I think I was unduly harsh in my rating before - thisa definitely has some bite to it.
