Cloudy orange red, 1 finger off-white head. Nose is malty brown sugar, cloves. Very sweet. Like eating straight toffee. Very rough tobacco after taste. Very astringent and boozy.

Now this is one kick ass beer for 2.50$ at vintage estate, a very nice place. From a bottle this stuff is looking thicker than a beer. Thin yellowing head, not a real offense smell. Wew, taste on the other hand is big an d cloyingly strong alky thing happening right there when it hit and down the back of the throat all the way down the gullet. This bell ringer will kik my ass every beer every drop every time. No lie, did I say wew? This is kick you in the teeth punch you in the ribs, knee you in the face bullshit. Over the top and jumping the hurricane fence. This levee is gonna break, everything may be loose with a lampshade on the head. Hanging noose if you drink a six pack og these, wew. Yes, quite viscous mouth coating bullshit. On style for an american STRONG ale, with all its evil attributes. Lager lovers; forgettabouttit.

Bottle from PC Market of Choice in Ashland, OR. Pours clear copper with a slight creamy beige head. Aroma is light roast caramel/brown sugar with a suggestion of floral. Making me think almost barleywine. Near full bodied. It has a slick malty feel. It has some hop that might be citrus or floral. It certainly finishes more bitter than not. It’s a bit hard to separate flavors, but it certainly is a very tasty thing.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Liquors in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed after getting some holiday shopping done 3 days before the holiday. Appearance is a muddy amber with tiny yeasties floating around and a thin white head that rims around the glass. Aroma like a DIPA, rich in caramel malt and earthy hops with light citrus. Taste is pretty thick, slightly smooth, medium to heavy carbonation, there are heavy flavors but it’s not really ’flavorful’. It’s decent I guess.

Bottle, solid extremely long lasting head with some lacing, hazy dark orange colour, biscuity aroma with notes of orange marmaldae and some fruity hops in the back, malty cake flavour with white fruits and some herbs, gets better and more balanced as it warms up, long and lingering sweet bitter aftertaste. Quite good.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Hazy amber color with a big white head. Hoppy aroma of grapefruits, floral and piney notes and some caramelly/biscuity malt notes. Flavor starts sweet and malty with some caramel and biscuits and some citric hops in the background, then turns more hoppy and fruity with floral notes and a nice bitterness (although some sweet maltiness stays there all along). Medium-bodied. Maybe a bit too much on the malty side for me, but still tasty and quite easy-drinking for an 8.5% beer.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear amber, small head. Fruity nose with mild grapefruity hops. Medium-full bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lots of caramelly buttery malt, balanced somewhat resiny bitterness. A well made relatively malty ale.

12 oz bottle sent to me by Suttree. 1361 printed on the label. Pour is a hazed orange copper with a nice 1 1/2 inch light tan head. Head falls with patchy lacing. Random carb bubbles float to the surface, nice looking beer. Aroma is sweet caramel biscuit malt, along with orange fruit and a ever so faint and mild pepper spice yeastiness. As this warms, the pepper is really more of an earthiness. Taste is the malt up front, nice and full grain, along with the caramel sweetness, moving towards a bit of resin citrus orange and pine hops, though still more balanced towards the malt. Nice balance, clean. The finish reintroduces the earthiness, mineral. Palate is medium bodied, aftertaste lingers, though really no alcohol presence despite the elevated ABV. Nice one, thanks Phil.
