This single barrel of sweet component Deth's Tar spent twelve months in a tequila barrel which had recently finished Templeton Rye whiskey. Whiskey dominates the barrel character, with notes of agave-based spirit flashing about its edges. Wood tanin is noticably restrained, allowing the sweet base and unique spirit character to softly shine.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours near black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has dark grains and whiskey with some roast, agave and oak coming through. Flavor has sweet dark grains and some vanilla with agave and a bit of oak supporting.

On tap at Revolution - Kedzie, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma has plenty of tequila barrels, spicy rye, and a fair bit of roast. Flavour is rather intense and brutal, with big tequila barrels, roasted malt, dark sugars, and booze. The barrels are nice but the integration is a bit clumsy. Not the most refined BA impie out there but theres plenty of complexity.
