Draft schooner at the Virginia Inn, Seattle on 11th August 2025. Black as the Ace of Spades, beige crust. This is solid malty brew with coffee and chocolate hints, slight Rye influence nearly upsets the applecart for me.

(Tap) clear bright very dark brown color with a small brown head; aroma of roast, molasses; creamy palate; balanced flavor with a long, light bitter finish

Black pour with almost no head. Light but pleasing malty aroma. Malty body with roast chocolate and a bit of coffee. Lighter finish than you'd expect

Dark brown, has a nice cocoa taste...not great...but there’s great malt sweetness.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa, roast, licorice, nuts. Medium body, roast, cracker malt, licorice, dry finish, good.

Draft 12 oz pour at Stoup, listed as Stoup Porter, but confirmed to be the same. Pours a near black with a crop circle cream foam head. Very nice roasted aroma with bold chocolate. Robust roasted malt up front and throughout. Chocolate background, and threatens to be a bit smokey. Pairs nicely with Julie’s chocolate chip cookies. Thanks! This is what I typically look for in a porter. Very nicely done.
