Rich in color and character, our robust porter conjures up memories of decadent chocolate treats dipped in coffee. Hints of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and light malty sweetness are the result of a complex malt profile including chocolate malt, roasted wheat and roasted rye.

Sampler at brewery. I could have sworn there was coffee in this, it was chalk full of it. Must have just been the malts. Some acidity. Some cocoa. The only beer at the brewery that was not hopcentric, so maybe it gets a few extra points for that. Thicker feel, very thick pour with no clarity.

Draught at Serious Biscuit, Seattle
Red brown color with creamy head. It has a very rich chocolate and roasted malt character, not ashy, with moderate sweetness.
Excellent. --- Beer merged from original tick of Northwest Porter on 06 Sep 2016 at 19:12 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Draught at Columbia City Ale House, Seattle
Dark color, almost black, with creamy head. Smooth, but with a strong coffee character, dry, roasty. I can’t understand how this is a Porter (rather a Stout), but it’s not a bad beer.
