2023: This special Imperial version of Wanderlust IPA will sure to have beer nerds talking in 2023. The already hugely popular IPA may now also have double the fans in a stronger version with more hops and more alcohol. Also making Double Wanderlust stand out from it’s smaller sibling, this one uses a different fresh hop: Crystal is an old school variety that fell out of favor because of it’s low alpha acid count, but they have more recently went through a reappraisal by modern brewers. Crystal hops have a great aroma of woodsy, green, floral and fruity with herb and spice notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper.

16 oz. can, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma has tons of woody, piney hops, oily resins, and dankness -- like many of those awesome 2010's IBU-wars IIPAs. Flavour follows accordingly, with tons of piney hop goodness, some resins, light woodiness, a touch of dankness, and soft biscuity malt to back with only the lightest of residual sweetness. Not sure I would've guessed this was fresh hopped, but whatever, the hops are awesome here. Fantastic stuff.

Canned, 473 ml, 2023 version, shared with rest of the crew. Almost clear orange with medium white head. Hoppy, citrus, bit resinous, nice malty backbone, lasting bitter finish.

Can. Pours a clear orange hue with a medium white head. A big sweet nose, citrus, some resin. Toast, rich citrus, lemons, dankess that grows. Rich, flavorful.

Golden body with white head. Hoppy aroma like the original version but more. Full bodied with hoppiness and more malt.
