Dortmunder-Style Lager collaboration brewed with the Wish You Were Beer Show
- - -
Dortmunder Lagers were born around 1868 in Dortmund, Germany and became the favorite of Coal Miners and Industrial Workers. After all, what could be better than a cold, full-bodied beer after a long shift underground?
With an ABV of at least 5.0%, they were crushable (before that was a thing), but strong enough to provide a much-needed kick. The sulfate levels in the water of the region helped create a beer with a light, crisp, balanced, and bready finish.
Dortmunder? Now you know her!

This "Export Lager" (brewed with Hersbrucker & Hallertau Mittlefruh) is a collaboration with our fine and fearless craft brew loving friends & adventurers from the Wish You Were Beer Show, always satiating their thirst for knowledge with the help of a good pour (or two).

Tap at Southbound. Bright, clear golden. Bready nose, biscuity, clean malt, light citrus hops. Lemony, sweet, bready. Great malt. Nice balance.
