12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly clear deep reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from hop/roast bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.9%. Overall this is great amber ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and easy to drink. A really delicious offering, and pristine style example.

A clear one, amber in color and with a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is a bit weak I think, with caramel and some malts. A fruity touch too. It’s medium bodied and soft on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Roasted notes, caramel and a little bitterness in the flavor. Some fruityness too. Lasting bready and caramel-ish finish. Quite nice this one, easy drinkable too. 141220

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of bready malt, caramel and grassy hops. The finish is malty with a sweet aftertaste. Decent overall.

From a bomber with a pretty cool label, heheh. From the start I’ll say its on style, i just don’t care much for stronger amber ales. Probably should be in the red ale style cause it comes across irish. Big brown somewhat hazey pour. Fairly attractive sweet aroma. Almost offensive but not quite there. Large personna malty initial flavor. Barely any CO2. Yes malty, quite malty alky milky. Bitter medicinal hang. Grows on yah, gets better and more freindly near the bottom of the bomber. heh!
