Bottle 500ml. [ As Amundsen Blackbird ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, fruity, smoke, hoppy, plastic notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141220]

Flaske fra polets nettbutikk, delt med Ovesen: nestsen ugjennomtrengellig brunsvart med fint lysebrunt skum. Aroma av franskbrent espresso med snev av furunål. Deilig tørr smak med god bitterhet preget av de mørke malter og den elegante humlebruken. Meget lett å helle innenfor snippen.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 24.01.15. Very dark brown, almost black. Pale brown head and lacing. Aroma of American hops, grapefruit, pine and cigar box. Similar taste, with evident dark malt. Bitter grapefruit in aftertaste. A decent example of the style.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy finish.

On tap @ Amundsen. Pitch black body with a medium sized, dense, stable beige head. Nice aroma of dark malt, pine and citric fruit. Flavor medium strong dark malt, moderate roasted, lots of pine, some citric fruit, balanced bitterness and a bit tart towards the end. Medium body, quite balanced and pleasant bitter aftertaste. Quite good and tasty.

Bottled@wPBFIII. Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some alcohol and nice floral and roasted notes. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice, and alcohol. Still balanced.

Bottle at wpbf. Dark brown color, beige head. Aroma of toasted malts and fruity citrusy hoppyness. Medium-bodied. Bitter, roasted with citrus hoppyness. Very good cda.

50 cl bottle @ wPBF Ⅲ. Batch #099: BBE 09/2015
Aroma has licorice, some hoppy tones and resin. Flavour has nice licorice tones, resiny hops and hints of ash. Finishes with grapefruit-like hops. Very nice BIPA.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Near black, rich, firm head. Generous aroma of tar, grapefruit and mango. Mid sweet with medium-full body and soft mouthfeel. Ashy, roasty licorice and coffee-like malt, rich flavours of mango, peach and grapefruit. Long bitter finish. Excellent!

33 cl ozz bottle. Pours Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is smooth fruity and toasted malty. Bitter and dry herbal. Lingering fruity. Ends dry bitter finish.
