King’s Corner, Jenkintown tap: pours light brown with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, general maltiness. Taste is surprisingly not boozy. Easy to drink. Not super complex.

Rare but a very popular tap round here. This one was at bocktown. Orangy yellow. Almost flat in the presentation. Quite acceptable mild mannered beer from the start. Not real bitter. I liked this. Yes, much better than expected. Probably not a scotch but more like a Scottish. This is no way 10%, perhaps I got the wrong tap? Easy fun higher alky beer I guess, hides the alky well. Drinkable fer sure, I beet beer careful. Nice job! Let me tell you, if this is 10%, its one of the best 10% beers I’ve ever tasted!

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a darkish brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized orange-tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish with dark fruit, maltiness and almost red meat. The flavor was toasty malts, wood, nut, a bit of dark fruit and a hint of red meat and cedar. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Alcohol well controlled.Ok.
