St. Kat' is a collaboration with young priest Père Jérémie from St Catherine's church in Brussels just next to the brewery. The idea is to refresh the Abbey style with lots of good hops from different origins to bring out oecumenical flavors!
Grain: Pale Ale, Vienna, Caramunich I, Carared, malted wheat
Medium bodied with caramel & biscuit
Yeast: Abbey yeast
Spicy esters with medium attenuation level
Hops: Cascade, Citra, Columbus, Mosaic
Peppery, citrusy with papaya & floral notes.

Pours dark and unclear amber, medium sized white head , with a good stability. Smell is fresh, crips malty, minor grassy notes from the hops, not too much yeastyness. Taste is quite nice, intense maltyness, reasonable bitter touch. crisp, grassy, mildly aromatic. Refreshing, in a way. Very nice. Big questions on why this was added as a Double on ratebeer though....
